Electronic Cabinet Cooling
Description
HOW DO I REMOVE EXCESS HEAT GENERATED BY ELECTRONICS WITHIN AN ENCLOSURE OR PANEL?
Electronic components generate a lot of heat. Overheating can cause them to trip out or even fail!
To protect components, especially when they are enclosed in a cabinet or panel, cooling fans should be used to draw ambient air into the enclosure and exhaust the heated air into the environment. This allows the electronics to operate efficiently, and keeps them well within their design operating limits.
THE CFM SOLUTION FOR ELECTRONIC CABINET COOLING
For smaller enclosures with higher resistances to airflow, XR and CMI motorized impellers provide the best solution for electronic cabinet cooling. The backward curved blade design of these centrifugal fans is capable of developing higher pressures to overcome system resistance.
For enclosures with low resistance to airflow, DXG and DXP AC motorized axial fans provide an effective and economical solution for electronic cabinet cooling. For such applications, these axial fans are ideal for generating high airflow at low static pressure.
For large enclosure sizes and high heat loads, higher capacity fans are required to ventilate the cabinets and cool the electronics inside. Excellent choices for these applications include TMK and TNC cabinet cooling fans. These are available with customized mounts to fit any enclosure design.
All of the above cooling fans are available in a choice of AC, DC or EC motorized impeller models to satisfy any voltage requirements associated with an application.
