For other voltages, consult factory. Actual performance may vary by application.

Alternating current (AC) external rotor motors are often available in single and three phase versions, and a variety of voltages. Most can operate interchangeably on 50 or 60 Hz frequencies. However, it must be noted that performance may vary depending on the voltage and frequency of the supply. That is why external devices that modify these parameters are used for speed control. A variable frequency drive (VFD) is typically used for three phase AC motors, while a solid-state speed controller is used for single phase AC motors. It is also important to remember that single phase AC motorized impellers require the use of a matching capacitor. Follow the link to learn more about Motorized Impellers.

When it comes to motorized impellers, it may seem that there are many choices, making it hard to know which is best. What’s important to know is that for many applications—electronic cabinet cooling, computer rooms, air filtration, fume hoods, heat exchangers, and more—motorized impellers offer distinct advantages over other air movers. See our OEM Solutions for Electronic Cabinet Cooling to learn more about the uses of a CMI motorized AC impeller.

Axial and centrifugal motorized impellers are available with AC, DC, and EC motors.
